Ants Innovate envisions a world where the best cuts of meat are produced without animals. We are a deep tech company developing technology to build alternative meat cuts for the complete meat-eating experience. Our focus is on integrating muscle tissues – the building blocks of meat – and healthier formulations to make cuts of meat that meat lovers cannot live without, like wagyu beef and Iberico pork. We conduct B2B business with F&B industry partners to jointly manufacture and market our tissue-based technology and products.

Meat is more than cells. Muscle tissues, which are carefully organized group of cells, are the true building blocks of meat. Muscle tissues give meat its characteristic meaty flavour and texture. We have successfully generated muscle tissues from proprietary non-GMO cell lines to form the building blocks of meat.

Meat lovers will not be satisfied with just burgers. Meat cuts are what defines meat. Building meat cuts require precise control in constructing complex meat structures from tissues. We employ our years of expertise in integrative tissue engineering to build large pieces of meat cuts for meat lovers.

They say you eat with your eyes first. Our proprietary marbled matrixes (PCT/SG2020/050432) allows for the seamless generation of intricate marbling only found in high quality meats. We integrate muscle tissues with our carefully crafted fat formulation to recreate the aromas of marbled meats with a healthier impact.

PROFESSOR HANRY YU, PH.D., MSID

Founder and Non-Executive Chairman

As a veteran scientist with multiple patents and several listings under his belt, Prof Hanry is the founder of the company. He takes an interdisciplinary approach towards research efforts. Currently he is a tenured professor in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Prof Hanry is concurrently leading research groups in the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology of A*STAR, the Mechanobiology Institute, and a large programme in the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology. He provides the strategic direction for the company.

SHUJIAN ONG

Co-Founder and Director of R&D

Shujian is our co-founder and drives the R&D efforts of the company. He is a science graduate from the National University of Singapore, and was a A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) scholar. Shujian has published in scientific journals with a focus on cell based meats. He has worked with Prof Hanry in the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. Shujian is passionate about contributing towards the food safety and food security efforts and protection of the environment by cellular meat production research.

TERENCE TAN

General Manager

Terence has over two decades of investment and management experience in the financial industry. He began as an analyst before becoming a portfolio manager, with his career culminating in managing client assets in a Swiss private bank. He was previously a member of the senior management team in the Asian business of the Swiss private bank. Terence provides financial oversight and handles investor relations, HR and marketing efforts for the company. He is a business school alumni of the National University of Singapore.
